Subject Teacher/Class Teacher at Kjula School

Kjula School is located in the countryside, ten kilometers from Eskilstuna city center, in a growing idyll. We are a school with a strong sense of community and a fantastic environment that is utilized in teaching. We have students from preschool class to grade 6, about 300 students, and 45 staff members. Vallby School belongs to the same principal area and has students from preschool class to grade 3, about 100 students, and 15 staff members.

Teaching takes place in age-homogeneous groups at both schools. Our professional and dedicated educators focus on the student and use many different methods to reach each student. Our goal is for all students, based on their circumstances, to feel motivation, joy, and a desire to learn, both in school and during leisure time. Our school, leisure activities, and student health have an active and close collaboration, always focusing on providing our students with a well-rounded development both academically and socially throughout the day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will work as a subject teacher and possibly as a class teacher. This could be at both the lower and middle school levels.

The role of the teacher involves planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching according to the applicable curriculum LGR22. You will be part of a teaching team with colleagues to collaborate and share experiences with.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and certification that qualifies you to teach in grades F-3 or 4-6 in social studies subjects. You are also welcome to have qualifications for natural sciences with technology and English. If you already have a few years of teaching experience and have worked in a class teacher role, that is very positive for us. Special educational competence is an advantage. You need to be proficient in the Swedish language in both spoken and written forms. A B driver's license is required for the position, as the school is located outside of Eskilstuna with limited local transport.
